My name is Jack Jordan, the owner of Century Painting. Painting has been engrained in me since I was just a little boy helping my father with painting projects on the weekends and in the summer. I began my professional painting career in 1994 with Golden Hands Painting & Construction.
Then in 1999, I struck out on my own and began securing my own painting contracts. Since 1999, Century Painting has grown and relocated from Chicago to the Carolinas. But one thing that remains consistent is my insistence on quality that my father instilled in me so many years ago.

Sure you can paint yourselves but will it look like a professional painter’s work? There is truly an art to painting. It is very difficult to get a professional looking paint job especially with darker colors. The proper prep work can make the biggest difference of all in the quality of the wall coverings.
Are you insured?
You can feel safe when you hire Century Painting. We carry general liability insurance to protect the customer from accidents. Don’t take the risk of hiring an uninsured contractor or you may be liable for any accidents.
How should the homeowner prepare for the project?
(1) Select a paint color. (2) Remove items off the countertops. (3) Push back the items in the cabinets so we have an inch of clearance to tape off the openings.
If the homeowner is also replacing countertops and/or tile, when should cabinet painting be scheduled?
It is preferable for cabinet painting to be the last step in a kitchen remodel. It is much easier for us to protect the other surfaces than it is for the other contractors to be careful around the paint. Our paint is very durable of course, but due to their heavy tools, it’s better to be safe and let them work before we come in.
What colors can the homeowner pick?
You can select colors from Sherwin Williams, Benjamin Moore, PPG, Behr, & Valspar. We might be able to match colors from other brands, ask us and we’ll check.
